Leotard Care

How to look after your leotards

Step by step washing instructions

*Top Tip*

DO NOT iron or tumble dry, let your leotards dry without heat to preserve the elasticity and sparkle for as long as possible.

1. Turn your leotard inside out

2. Place it in the machine on a delicate wash at 30 degrees.

3. Wash darks and lights separately

4. Hang out to air dry, DO NOT tumble dry

*Top Tip*

Wash your leotards on a delicate cold wash at 30 degrees to help to keep it looking sparkly for as long as possible.

Mystique fabrics will show signs of wear more than lycra and velour materials. We recommend keeping these leotards for special occasions to minimise the amount of washes with this fabric. Areas of friction and/or abrasion will wear faster than other areas e.g. under arms.

All leotards are made from delicate fabrics and should therefore be treated accordingly. Leotards that have been washed using these instructions should prolong the elasticity and shine but all leotards will show signs of wear after a few washes.

Store your leotards in a cool dry place out of direct sunlight. Leotards hung in windows or direct sunlight for prolonged periods of time will become discoloured. We recommend leotards are hung up, leotards that have been folded may show signs of wear on the fold lines in some fabrics.
